Will insurance cover testing?
Insurance coverage may depend on criteria established by the insurance provider. Usually, following criteria set by the National Comprehensive Cancer Network and Medicare provide general guidance for coverage.

What will OnkoRisk testing cost patients?
Out-of-pocket costs are dependent on insurance criteria, unmet deductibles, and laboratory co-pays. Use the GenPath Cost Estimator to get a real-time estimate of your patient’s unmet deductibles and laboratory co-pays.

My patient received a bill and has questions. Can you help?
Yes, please direct your patient to call the BioReference Billing Services number listed on their bill. Our dedicated team is on standby to help individuals understand their bill and their options.

What is the turnaround time for OnkoRisk tests?
Test results are expected within 14 days. Reporting times are typical and begin once the specimen is received at the laboratory. Turnaround times may exceed 14 days in situations outside GenPath’s reasonable control.

Are genetic education and counseling services available to patients?
Yes. Contact your GenPath Account Executive or Oncology Genetic Services at 800-627-1479 ext 7003 for more information on how to refer patients to pre- and post-test genetic education and counseling services.
